Ruwatan is a Javanese purification ritual to release an evil spirit. For Ruwatan Rakyat Merdeka: Purification of Liberated People by lumbung artists Taring Padi, a street carnival will parade the Ogoh-Ogoh to its purification following its trial in the people tribunal. Participants will carry cardboard puppets.
