Revolution as self-sabotage by Instituto de Artivismo Hannah Arendt
Iumbung member Instituto de Artivismo Hannah Arendt (INSTAR) presents the conversation Revolution as self-sabotage. In the 1960s, Venezuela began a democratic period that lasted forty years. The Romulo Betancourt administration (1959–1964) maintained the good neighbor policy with the U.S. initiated by the previous military regime. As a consequence, the newly elected government confronted a violent period of military insurrections and urban guerrillas under the influence of the Cuban revolution.
