ReARTiculating Cuba: From the independent project to the nation as DAO by lumbung member Instituto de Artivismo Hannah Arendt (INSTAR) is an exercise in speculation and political fiction, based on INSTAR founder Tania Bruguera’s idea that art “can provide an imaginary of change and channel the emotional into concrete ethical action” and on the hijacking of models of representative democracy at the polls by populism. The talk asks how art can help reinvent Cuba as a decentralized autonomous democracy.
