Boda Boda Lounge by Centre d’art Waza

Boda Boda Lounge is a cross-continental video art festival that takes place simultaneously at more than fifteen spaces across the African continent every two years.

Co-initiated by lumbung artists Centre d’art Waza in Lubumbashi, DR Congo, the festival’s name is a Kiswahili pidgin word that means “border.” Boda Boda Lounge was created out of the belief that video art creates mobility, movement, and meaningful exchange between different contexts, allows for physical boundaries to be transcended and for intimate introspection and contemplation to be generated collectively.
