The conversation Autonomous expanded practices by lumbung member Instituto de Artivismo Hannah Arendt (INSTAR) seeks to promote dialogue between protagonists of autonomous practices who have opted for the exercise of free and independent thought in a medium of excessive social, intellectual, affective, and human control. In the search for references that help us think beyond our insular condition, we want to explore Hakim Bey’s ideas about temporarily “autonomous zones” and “intentional communities” to reflect on the information networks that were woven in Cuba as alternatives to institutional sites and forms of production.
