Water System School Workshop #3: Water System Knowledge by Cao Minghao & Chen Jianjun

Global ecological, catastrophic issues reveal the interconnectedness of the entire planet and ask us to think about how humans can generate a practical imagination based on these ecological connections. For this reason, the Water System School explores alternative forms of knowledge and ecological practices by inquiring into the kind of knowledge that shapes our future ecological behavior and our reconceptualization of disasters.

The Water System School Workshop Series by lumbung artists Cao Minghao & Chen Jianjun aims to encourage practices and discussions related to this knowledge, and to materials, species, and sheltering techniques. Following the discussions, Tāo Gǔ’s experimental film On the Way to the Sea (2010) will be screened.
