“Thank you sculptures” award ceremony for diversity and inclusion
Dr. Faraj Remmo awards the “Thank You Sculpture” for accessibility and diversity to ruangrupa, to lumbung artist Richard Bell, and to documenta fifteen.
Dr. Faraj Remmo is a research associate at the Center for Teaching and Learning (ZLL) and a lecturer at the Faculty of Education at Bielefeld University. He engages in lectures, talks, and interviews on the topic of participatory diversity.
With his work he wants to set a sign against any form of discrimination such as ableism, racism, and exclusion based on sexual orientation, gender identity, age, religion, and ideology.
His project of creating and awarding the “Thank You Sculptures” began in 2017 and is awarded by him to individuals and institutions worldwide to honor outstanding commitment in the areas of diversity, inclusion, integration, and educational multiple self-location. Individuals such as Rafik Shami, Vladimir Kaminer, and Stephen Hawkings are among the previous awardees.
