Courage: Uprising and Extinction of Belarus Civil Society by ZK/U – Center for Art and Urbanistics

lumbung member ZK/U – Center for Art and Urbanistics presents a screening of the film Courage: Uprising and Extinction of Belarus Civil Society by director Aliaksei Paluyan.

The film follows Maryna, Pavel, and Denis, who belong to an underground theater group in Minsk, Belarus. In the course of the 2020 presidential elections, they take part in peaceful mass protests, together with thousands of other people. They narrowly escape arrest and torture. What unites them is the hope for freedom of speech and democracy.

The screening will be followed by a Q&A with the director.
