Located on the ground floor of Fridericianum, RURUKIDS is a safe space designed especially for children, with many fun and creative activities that encourage children to explore arts and culture. It is a place for sharing knowledge, meeting new friends, playing, relaxing, and co-creating.
RURUKIDS is an open-door space for all children to enjoy the playing area, special projects, library room, and screenings during the opening hours from 10 am until 8 pm. For the programming, the RURKIDS team collaborates closely with documenta fifteen artists and creative people from Kassel, inviting children to learn by playing, sharing, and exploring through diverse workshops and performances. All programming and available facilities offer children to learn about different cultures worldwide by creating moments for sharing and discovering.

How to play in RURUKIDS
Please observe the following rules to ensure everyone has a safe and fun time. By entering RURUKIDS, you agree to accept the following rules.
1. Pay Attention / Keep An Eye
Parents or accompanying adults must remain on the premises and accept full responsibility for children in their care at all times.
2. Safety and Care
All our playing equipment has been tested for safety measures, however please be careful at all times, especially on weight and height restrictions marked on equipments.
3. How old are you?
All ages are welcome to enjoy the space, however, our playing equipment is not suitable for children under 3 years old without a parental assistance.
4. Kindness
Please respect everyone’s diversity and differences. Be mindful of how you and your children interact with those around you.
5. Accidents and Lost Children
Please inform us immediately in the case of an accident or loosing your children, our team is here to help you!
6. Personal Items
Please, take care of your personal belongings at all times.
7. Clean Space
Let’s keep our space clean and tidy, and be gentle with play equipment and materials for others friends to enjoy as well.
8. Feeling Hungry?
Unfortunately, we can not provide food for children, please eat outside of RURUKIDS’ space.
9.Thirsty?
Please ask one of the team members to provide you with clean drinking water.
10. Pee and Poo? Toilets are downstairs, please ask our team to accompany you.
