lumbung artist Hamja Ahsan’s Fried Chicken Panel series explores the identity, ethics, and aesthetics of Fried Chicken to further study his works exhibited around the city of Kassel. It touches on Fried Chicken as a graphic style, as class struggle, as Empire and resistance, and as an intervention into art institutions. It explores the role of Halal fried chicken in the war on terror, deviant racial and migrant identities, Fried Chicken as self-medication, demon and angel, disease and cure, war, and peace.
